HYDRANGEA
Dried and Fresh Flowerheads for use in Floral DesignsThe Hydrangeas are marsh or aquatic plants, and hence the name is derived from a Greek compound signifying water-vessel. Hydrangea grows up to 3m tall and is now cultivated in Oregon for the rootstock (40 acres).
Rounded or globular clusters of small creamy-white flowers appear in May. By adding lime, they change color to mixed blues to burgundy in July, when they are collected. Boxes are 36 inches long, by 8 inches high, and 16 inches wide. Shrink-wrapped pallets can hold 3 cases wide, 16 high, for a total of 48 cases.
